Captain Aaron reached out ahead of the trip due to incoming weather concerns, but I chose to move forward and take our chances. We fished through steady rain most of the day, but despite the conditions, Capt. Aaron kept us on the fish from the start. We had our first catch within 10 minutes and finished the trip with over 30 fish total. The weather never got in the way of a great experience. Capt. Aaron worked hard the entire trip and made sure we stayed productive and having a good time. “Damn good guide” doesn’t even fully describe the level of effort and results he delivered. I will absolutely be fishing with Capt. Aaron again, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality day on the water.

Captain Aaron is a true standup guy and a pleasure to fish with. We caught fish at every spot he took us to, and he worked hard all day to keep us on the action. He was an excellent captain from start to finish and made the entire trip enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to catch fish and have a great day on the water. 10/10 experience.

Captain Aaron was great to communicate with before the trip, confirming location and timing to help maximize our experience. I don’t fish often, but my 16-year-old son does, and we both had an excellent time. Aaron knew a lot of productive spots and consistently kept us on fish. Between the two of us, we caught 15 bass. I would highly recommend booking a trip with him to anyone looking for a great day on the water.

Aaron was great! He communicated well before the trip and helped us get set up with our one-day fishing licenses, making everything easy from the start. My 13-year-old son, who is on a high school fishing team, had a great time—and even picked up some new techniques along the way. Minnesota-approved experience all around. We caught over a dozen bass and had a fantastic day on the water.

My grandson and I booked a fishing trip with Captain Aaron on March 15, 2026, and we could not have been happier with our experience. Aaron was an excellent guide—patient, knowledgeable, and willing to teach us a lot throughout the day. We spent four hours on Lake Travis, and the time went by quickly as we stayed busy reeling them in. The highlight of the trip was landing a 5-pound largemouth bass to finish the day. The best proof of how great the trip was came afterward—once we got in the truck, my grandson said he wanted to come back and fish with Captain Aaron again. We definitely will. When I was searching for a guide on Lake Travis, I read reviews just like you are now, and I felt it was important to share our experience. Captain Aaron was truly a great fishing guide.

My daughter and I had a fishing trip with Captain Aaron yesterday and had a great day of bass fishing on Lake Travis. He got us on fish early and kept us moving to new spots whenever the bite slowed down. We ended up with enough keepers for a fish fry that same evening, which made the day even better. I will definitely call Aaron anytime we need a guide on Lake Travis or around Austin.

Aaron was very accommodating as I had an odd afternoon availability. He had excellent communication and was prompt amd ready to fish at the start of the trip. Very nice boat and equipment, I would recommend fishing with him. I would book again if I fond myself in the area.
